Jayme

Jayme is engaged!!!! I am super excited for her. She has always been the independent one and never wanted to get married or have children. So it is super exciting to see her fall in love and want to do things she never has before. Settling down growing up and calming down! Love it!!! Nathaniel is one sweet young man too! He is going into the Army and they are getting married in our back yard before he goes. She will be going back to school soon and getting her nurses degree. I am a very Proud Aunt! I also decided when they have kid(s) I want them to call me Grantie (Greatest Auntie! ) lol and I thought would be funny to call John Gruncle! Greatest or Grumpest Uncle which ever works for you! lol I love the kids are getting older and learning more! However it does make me feel older! argh!!!! They love having Jayme and Nathaniel over here and I don't know how it will work but praying they get stationed with us in Korea!! Opps let the cat out of the bag! well will talk about that more later!!!
It is now April, Adina had a Princess Birthday party at church and we went to the Zoo for her birthday! The Whole family went to AR to be with Hayden and John for their birthday! Then we came home with an extra passenger, Granny Di. Leona's good friend and Johns second mom. She was just passing through to go spend time with Leona in Texas. Then we found out the Lampasas Baptist church youth were going to a youth rally in Coldsprings Texas which is only three hours away, so off the pass on Granny Di and to see our friends we missed so much! Was a wonderful trip and heard wonderful Gospel music and some fabulous preaching by a man named Terry Caffey. If you have never heard of him please look him up! So on to the next few birthdays and fun stuff of the summer!!

July we lost one baby and in Oct. I found out we were pregnant again! I was very happy! The baby was to be born on July 18th the day we lost Abia. God was so amazing. The pregnancy was progressing as normal, me throwing up all day every day for the first few months. John and I had not decided to find out what the sex of the baby was but I was sure it was a girl! LOL I then went in Jan. for our 12 week appointment, John had been on duty for seven days so I wanted a little down time so I went in alone. The doctor tried to find the heartbeat but couldn't find one with the doppler machine so they brought in the ultrasound machine. Once she found the baby I could tell at once there was no movement and I couldn't see a heart beat! So we had another doctor come check it out and no one could find a heart beat. So we scheduled a ultrasound in radiology for the next tuesday. We prayed and prayed for the next five days said our goodbyeloved on our other children and cried! Then we went in for the ultrasound on Tuesday the 17th of Jan. There was no Heartbeat and our second baby was now in heaven as well. We opted for the meds. to induce labor or in this case a miscarrage. When we got home we told the children and they cried and cried. It was a very hard few days! Wed. morning at 12:30 am I started having the miscarrage and the baby was out shortly after that! I ended up in the ER around four because I had lost way too much blood too fast! A few IV bags later and some rest I felt much better! We came home to discuss what to do with our little one. My mom flew in Thursday afternoon. John was scheduled to go to Florida with his unit in a few days so my mom and I went to see my grandpa Hicks and then take the baby to be buried in SC in a family plot! It was a long and very stressing trip!

Well it has been a while since I have blogged. There has been allot of changes. Last July the kids and I went to visit with my momma and family when I wasn't feeling well and asked Momma to watch the kids and Amy my sister-n-law to take me to the ER. I found out I was Pregnant and was losing the baby, then I found out I was bleeding into my abdomen and had a Tubal pregnancy that was bursting. I called John and he came up on emergency leave. They took me into surgery and removed the Baby and my left tube. I was pretty devastated, but we know the Lord is in control. We named that baby, who is now in heaven with the Lord, Abia Angel McBride. WE stayed there for two more weeks, the doctor who preformed the surgery was very nice and told us we could continue to have children at our discretion. It only diminished our chances by 20%
